Art Show
Hot Rod Culture Art Show
This year’s Nationals will feature an art exhibit looking at hot rod culture, as well as an additional photography exhibition. ‘Hot Rods As Art’ looks at many of the different artistic aspects of hot rod culture. The highlights of the show over the weekend will be the live tattooing undertaken by David Carta, as well as live pinstriping demonstrations by Tony Marks. The exhibition will also feature automotive inspired art with everything from traditional paintings, air brushing, pinstriping, carvings and sculptures. It will also feature custom motorbikes and pushbikes, as well as a photobooth for people to document their tattoos! The exhibition will be officially launched on Thursday night at 6pm by legendary rodder Larry O’Toole.
Photography Exhibition
Given all of the amazing art filling up the Council gallery, there will also be a separate photography exhibition. The photography exhibition will feature some of the best hot rod photography from Australia, in photos which capture the beauty and the style of these awesome machines. The photography exhibition is being held in the Goulburn Club, which is the location for entrants to register, so check it out while you’re there!
